Navigating care can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to. Whether you’re looking for services, thinking about becoming a caregiver, or just figuring out where to start, we’re here with honest answers to your most common questions.
How do I know if I qualify for home care services?
If you’re over 21, a Pennsylvania resident, and enrolled in Medicaid with limited income, you likely qualify. We can help confirm your eligibility and walk you through the next steps.
Can I choose a family member or friend to be my caregiver?
Yes! You can choose someone you trust, like a family member, friend, or neighbor, and we’ll help them get hired, trained, and paid to care for you.
How long does it take to start services?
It depends on your case, but we often help clients get approved and begin care within 30 to 60 days, sometimes even sooner. We stay in touch with caseworkers to speed things up.
What documents do I need to start care?
You’ll need proof of identity, Medicaid enrollment, and basic medical information. We’ll help you gather everything and handle the paperwork.
How much do home care services cost?
Most clients pay nothing out of pocket. If you qualify through Medicaid and Community HealthChoices (CHC), services are covered at no cost to you.
What if I’m not happy with my current agency?
You have the right to transfer. We’ll help coordinate everything, and if you already have an aide, we can bring them with you.
What benefits do your caregivers receive?
We offer weekly pay, overtime when eligible, 401K eligibility after a year, and vision and dental coverage. Caregivers are never just a number here.
I don’t speak English, can you still help me?
Yes. Our team speaks multiple languages including Arabic, Spanish, Tagalog, Russian, Hindi, Malayalam, and English.
